I first created the play house for my son, when he was just 7 years, a young boy coming from Russia. It was his "poustinia." Now the play house is a child's and or an adult's wonderland for play and outdoor sand tray storytelling.

As a licensed MFT counselor and soul friend, I encourage serious seekers to share their faith story while taking time off for a day retreat to Big Sur and possibly the New Camaldoli Hermitage. I am a long time friend of the Hermitage. I invite you to consider a day retreat with me to explore the breath-taking views along the Pacific Coast. Since the road conditions vary seasonally, we might need to plan an abbreviated trip to Carmel Highlands if road closures restrict travel.
